WHAT: The Eco-Cycle Guide, printed annually, is your tool to stay in-the-know about Zero Waste. It contains at least seven Zero Waste Guidelines posters, including our "Is it compostable?" handout for deciphering which products are truly safe for composting curbside, and the most recent recycling guidelines for Boulder County. This is one of the simplest tasks Eco-Leaders can take on, but certainly one of the most important!
WHY: When we publish a new issue of the guide, our goal is to it get into the hands of everyone in the community to help them keep up with changes in recycling and composting guidelines, as well as additional facilities for hard-to-recycle materials. The more we can get this info out there, the better educated the community, the closer we get to Zero Waste.
WHEN: Approximately once per year, when we come out with a new issue, we will contact you to let you know that we’ll be doing a distribution..
HOW: We’ll deliver a stack of Eco-Cycle Guides to your door, along with a map of which houses in your neighborhood you should deliver to. Please note that while the majority of our organization efforts go toward distributing to households and multi-family complexes, we’d also love for you to distribute your guides to nearby businesses, community spaces, etc.! After you sign up for this action, Rosie will reach out to you to tell you about best practices for distribution and talk to you about where and how many you’d like to distribute.
Want to help out a little more?: If you’d like to help organize other Eco-Leaders in your neighborhood and distribute their bundles to them (saving us LOTS of delivery time), please check the “Region Leader” box. If you’d like to help count, sort and bundle the guides beforehand, please check the “I’d like to help bundle” box.
