Good news: The most comprehensive plastic pollution reduction bill Colorado has seen is onto the Senate! We are closer to protecting our state from plastic that is a threat to our wildlife, air, water, and climate.
Wednesday, May 5, 2021: The Colorado House of Representatives voted to pass House Bill 1162 - The Plastic Pollution Reduction Act. With 40 "yes" votes, 23 "no" votes (and 2 excused), House Bill 1162 now moves to Senate committees for consideration.
Thank you all who have supported the passage of the Plastic Pollution Reduction Act through various House committees and for the final House floor vote that took place on May 5th!
